I have finally come up with a solid idea for my sculpture. I have decided to base my project around the loss and desire of control, which is something that everyone feels. We all want control over our life and the things we must do, but we sometimes feel like nothing is firmly in our hands. For me, control has a lot to do with chess; you can control what you do with your pieces, but you can't control what your opponent does with theirs. I will have c hess board made with plaster sitting on a table and then I will make chess pieces out of plaster. The white pieces will be sitting on the board, but the black pieces will be suspended over their squares with string.
We have been doing even more brainstorming in class. I have a few sketches, but I'm not really into any of them yet.
Coach Hall has officially introduced us to the sculpture challenge. He has given us a theme: loss & desire, and we need to have final product based on the prompt in
