Janet Fish's paintings are simply remarkable. She spends hours on end, sometimes even days, to arrange her still lifes and incorporates translucent and sometimes reflective objects. Fish devotes a lot of space to clear vases, plastic wrap, and water in her pieces. I love her vibrant, almost unreal colors when painting such a conventional genre. Although at times, the bright colors seem to detract from her technique, the overall pieces are quite impressive.
